LIFE AS A MALL BRAT was a solo exhibition at Kolman & Reeb Gallery, Minneapolis, MN, August 26 - October 21, 2024. The creation of this body of work was generously supported by a Kolman & Reeb Gallery Project Space Grant.

The show included drawings, sculptures, and an interactive video installation exploring identity and memory through the lens of my childhood experiences of a shopping mall in Duluth, Georgia. I use the phrase “Mall Brat”, a parallel to Military Brat and the concept of the Attached Traveler, to describe how I followed my father, who managed a chain of mall-based shoe stores, through South Carolina and Georgia as new malls opened in the 1980s.
